I went to Mecca in Saudi Arabia this weekend. As you may know, I’m active man, and one of my strength is good footwork. So, I enjoyed visiting Mecca… Of course, this is just a joke. In fact, I went to the Mecca of gays, the Castro in San Francisco yesterday.
When I set foot in the Castro, I noticed that the atmosphere was obviously different (Lower Left quadrant, inter-subjectivity area). Here is a true utopia for gays. I was surprised at a lot of rainbow flags, many posters of a shirtless man on power poles, gays’ couples walking hand in hand with very happily, and gays’ couples hugging each other affectionately.
Fortunately (or Unfortunately?), I was not accosted on the street by gays, because I was maybe not attractive for them or I walked with a lady who was Japanese and one of my seniors from same university in Japan.
This visit provided me the beneficial opportunity to think about my masculinity and femininity. I really respected the mysteriousness of human gender.
