At the heart of the Integral Psychology program there is a passion for investing the profound levels of human existence. Through the study of psychology, spirituality and the evolution of consciousness, students develop a strong theoretical and practical foundation of western psychology, the world's wisdom traditions and the skillful means for applying these principles to personal and professional life.
The program includes the study of human psycho-spiritual development and stages of consciousness in a variety of contexts, including humanistic, social, cultural, transpersonal and integral. The program also fosters a deep understanding of interpersonal dynamics and effective communication skills as well as the capacity for self-reflection and self-inquiry necessary for personal transformation. This approach results in a clearer understanding of human potential and physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual growth. Graduates of the program apply this degree in fields as diverse as education, consulting, coaching, human resources, management and sustainability with a global emphasis.
The curriculum is informed by an integral pedagogy where experiential learning, perspective taking, academic inquiry, and professional application are purposely interwoven. Courses are taught by innovative and highly regarded faculty who are scholar-practitioners. An emphasis is placed on transformational self-inquiry and intellectually rigorous scholarship within a highly supportive student community.
The Integral Psychology program prepares students to effectively apply psychological insight in many career paths. To support these career paths, IPP students often supplement their MA with professional development courses in Teaching Skills, Curriculum Development, Publishing & Media, and Business Practices among others.
Students can also take specializations in other programs such as Dream Studies, or create own area of specialization through independent studies.
