I found an interesting self-assessment tool in the paper of “A guidebook to integral development for people and organizations.” To sum up this assessment, this tool evaluates our mainly four “lines” development (physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual) in our professional work (not personal life). I think this is useful to understand our strength/weakness in our professional life.
The following is my result.
Table 1
Score | Domains | Overall Strength | Change Strategy |
10/16 | Physical | Low | Strongly Develop |
14/16 | Emotional | High | Reinforce |
14/16 | Cognitive | High | Reinforce |
16/16 | Spiritual | High | Reinforce |
16/16 | Integral Intel | High | Reinforce |
To tell you the truth, I was surprised by the result. That is because I think that I’m good at any kinds of sports, so I have confidence in my physical ability. However, as the above result shows, my physical intelligence score is low. This is interesting because this assessment reveals the difference between physical intelligence (ability) in professional life and personal life.
Table 2
Score | Quadrants | Overall Strength | Change Strategy |
17/20 | Self-Awareness | Moderate | Develop |
19/20 | Self-Care | High | Reinforce |
17/20 | Social Awareness | Moderate | Develop |
17/20 | Social Care | Moderate | Develop |
I could find my weakness point which I had to improve due to this assessment. This paper illustrates not only this assessment but also some practices to develop each intelligence.
